Yamaha’s large capacity horizon hunter

Yamaha’s top selling Ténéré 700 middleweight adventure bike has been grabbing all the headlines since its December 2019 releases, but when it comes to large-capacity adventure touring, the XT1200ZE Super Ténéré is still king.

Available at a ride away price of $24,499 incl GST with a supercool Ceramic Ice colour scheme, Yamaha’s Super Ténéré remains the ultimate horizon hunter.

This hugely capable twin-cylinder long-distance adventure bike has been designed to take a rider across vast, on and off-road, in maximum comfort.

Equipped with a powerful twin-cylinder 1199cc engine delivering impressive low-end torque and instant roll-on acceleration, the super smooth riding experience is enhanced by a rubber damped clutch, maintenance-free shaft drive and comfortable ergonomics.

Further enhancing the comfort is the electronically adjustable suspension that allows instant suspension adjustments on the move. A seemingly endless combination of settings is available via the easy-to-operate handlebar-mounted multi-function switch. Heated grips, touring screen, cruise control, and adjustable seat make the cockpit of the Super Ténéré a pleasant place to be on long trips.

Two engine mapping options are on call via the D-Mode system. The T mode (Touring) delivers an easy running character, while S mode (Sport) offers exhilarating performance for the open road. A three-stage traction control system – including deactivation – provides the right amount of grip in all situations, while the ride-by-wire Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ensures optimal throttle response. Other key features include tough spoked aluminium wheels with tubeless tyres, comfortable pillion grab bars, 12V charging socket, LCD instrument panel, top box carrier, and centre stand.
