BMW Motorrad Australia has opened bookings for the eagerly-anticipated 2016 BMW GS Safari. It will roll out of the Gold Coast on November 6, taking in the amazing trails of the Great Dividing Range before finishing in Noosa on November 11.

BMW Motorrad Australia marketing manager Miles Davis is excitedly looking forward to the GS Safari.

“If you ride a BMW GS this is the event for you,” said Davis.

“The Safari is a fantastic experience shared with like-minded riders. There is nothing better than to be able to relive the day’s highlights with friends over a thirst-quenching drink.

“Places are limited and they are filling quickly, so if you are interested get in quick!” said Davis.

After leaving the sunny playground of the Gold Coast, riders will traverse the southeast corner of Queensland. Straddling the New South Wales border, the Safari riders will encounter coastal vistas, lush rain forests, and rugged escarpments, all on the off-roads less traveled. This will be a journey to remember, a journey shared with other BMW GS riders.

The GS Safari route is predominantly dirt, although there will be some nice twisty sealed sections to help link the trails together. All in all, participants can expect to ride around 300km per day.

The GS Safari is aimed at riders of all levels, but newer riders or Safari first-timers are strongly recommended to take the opportunity of our Pre-Safari Off-Road Training programme.

The BMW GS Safari is a fully-supported event with event routing, on-course medical support, tyre and mechanical back-up and luggage transport.
