Phil Hodgens’ ‘Old Black Bucket’ is a workhorse and Phil uses her predominantly as a commuter with the occasional weekend away.
Phil’s not made of money and needs tyres that give good range on the tar but still allow for reasonable performance in the dirt.
Adventure Rider Magazine recommended the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR, and Phil found they worked pretty damn good on a twisty granite track, giving plenty of front-end confidence, good wear and were quiet on the tar.
